IVF: In-Vitro Fertilization

IVF: In-vitro fertilization is so named because early biological experminents such as cultivation of tissues outside the organism were done in glass (in vitro) containers. IVF is normally carried out in the Petri dish. IVF has been used to help the infertile women who have problems with fallopian tubes. It is also used in the cases where, sperm quality and quantity is less; in those cases sperm cell is injected directly into the egg cell (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection).
